18. Statistical processingTop
18.1. Source data

Material data needed for the research of the producer price index of agricultural and fishery products is taken from the statistics of internal trade and statistics on agriculture and fisheries. The data relate to the quantities and values of the purchase and sale, as well as the unit prices obtained from the values and quantities.

A statistical survey on the purchase of agricultural products from family farms is carried out by the department for statistics on trade, catering, tourism and other services - department for internal trade statistics. Statistical survey on realization of production of legal persons in agriculture is carried out by the department for statistics of agriculture and forestry - section for statistics on plant production and upstream indicators.

18.2. Frequency of data collection

Monthly.

18.3. Data collection

The research of the price index of producers of agricultural and fishery products is not carried out directly through its reporting units, but data are taken from a monthly survey on the purchase of agricultural products from family farms within the internal trade statistics and a monthly survey on the realization of legal entities in agriculture in the field of agriculture statistics and fisheries carried out by the reporting method.

18.4. Data validation

The staff of the Price Statistics Division performs checking of prices on questionnaires and control of data entry by comparing calculated monthly indices between the current and the previous month and clarifies all significant changes with reporting units via the telephone and e-mail.

18.5. Data compilation

The weights can be divided into:

potters at the level of the reporting units (manufacturer's weights)
ponders at the product level (group, subgroup of products, branches and areas)

Weights at the reporting unit level (manufacturers' weights) represent the total annual value of the products of a particular reporting unit. The preparation of these weights is made at the beginning of each year based on last year's realized values of the products of all reporting units. It follows that the index calculation always includes only the reporting units that appeared in the previous year. Reporting unit weights serve to calculate base monthly indexes at the product level.

Weights at the product level (groups, subgroups of products, branches and areas) or the so-called. monthly weights represent the participation of the value of individual products within a subgroup or group of products that are further aggregated to the subgroup, group, branch and field. These weights are calculated for each month, especially in order to get a weighting scheme for all months during the year. The weighting scheme is changed every five years. Product weight weights are used to calculate aggregated, i.e. group base indexes, and then calculate quarterly and annual price indices.

Price indices are the relative numbers that show price changes in one period relative to the other for a given territory.

Price indices are calculated for individual products (individual indices), for groups (group indices) and for all products entering the index list (total index). Indices (individual, group and total) can be base (with fixed base) or chain (with variable

Imputation is done only when there is no price for the current month. Formulas for calculation are numerous and case-by-case.

18.6. Adjustment

Delivery prices in another currency are converted into the national currency.

No season settings.
