03.1. Data description

State of play at the begining of school year by main and additional indicators - number of schools (main and satellite classrooms), number of students by sex and grades and age (regular, children with disabilities and adults who attend primary education), number of classes, number of students who attend inclusive education and number of teachers by sex, working hours and ISCED 1 or 2.

The Internation Standard Classification of Education (ISCED 2011).

The survey provide data on status, structure and development of schools and classes, sex and age structure and movement of primary and lower secondary students, students who attend inclusive education (IEP 1 and IEP 2) i teaching stuff executing primary and lower secondary education.

Statistical unit is every primary school in the Republic of Serbia.

03.6. Statistical population

Children attending primary and lower secondary education (regular or for children with disabilities), as well as adults who attend schools for primary education for adults.

The data refer to the territory of the Republic of Serbia.

As of 1999, Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia do not collect data for AP Kosovo and Metohia, se they are not included in this data set for the Republic of Serbia (total).

Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia has an agreement on cooperation with a large number of organizations and institutions, both nationally and internationally, with which it exchange information, data and experiences. The SORS general revision policy constitutes the global frame ensuring that each statistical domain shall define its own revision policy in compliance with its specific nature.

- documents covering all aspects of revisions.

Statistical report for the begining of the school year is submitted by every primary school (public and private) for main school and classes in ther settlements, if any, including schools for children with disabilities and schools for adult education.

All reports go through thorough analysis and logic control before publishing. All discovered errors and vagueness are being rectified in consultation with the reporting unit.
