Percentage of household members using improved sanitation facilities which are not shared. 

Methodological explanations

Improved sanitary facilities are: flush/pour flush (flush to piped sewer system, flush to septic tank, flush to pit latrine; flush to doesn't know where), pit latrine (ventilated improved pit latrine, pit latrine with slab) and composting toilet).

Method of calculation

The members of households using improved sanitation facilities that are not shared with other households is divided by the members of all households and multiplied by 100.

 

The observation unit is members of all surveyed households.
