| Definition | |
Change in water-use efficiency (WUE) over time represents a ration of gross value added and total water abstracted by aggegated sections of the Classification of Activities.
| Methodological explanations | |
The source of data is the statistical survey of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia in the area of water statistics and National Accounts data.
| Method of calculation | |
For the calculation of indicators, all sections of the Classification of Activites are aggregated into three groups: Agriculture, forestry and fishing - A; Industry - B-D; F; Service activities - E; G-S.
Efficiency of water use is calculated when water use efficiency in the aggregated group and the share of abstracted water in total water abstraction are multiplied.
