Definition | |
Gross value added (GVA) of the manufacturing industry per capita represents the ratio between the manufacturing GVA, reported in constant US dollars (2021 reference year) and the total population of the country.
Methodological explanations
Gross value added of each industry is calculated as the difference between output (value of production) at basic prices and intermediate consumption at purchasers’ prices. Gross value added is calculated separately for each institutional sector due to the different calculation methods of value of production – gross output.
The gross value added (GVA) of the manufacturing industry represents the total value added created by all institutional units registered in the manufacturing sector. The manufacturing sector is defined according to the general standards of the Classification of Activities (KD 2010), which correspond to international standards set by Eurostat and the UN.
For the total population data, the mid-year population estimate of the Republic of Serbia is used.
