Goal 12. Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns

Quantity of material recycled in the country plus quantities exported for recycling out of total waste generated in the country, minus material imported intended for recycling.

Мunicipal waste is separately collected household waste, including paper, cardboard, glass, metal, plastic, biowaste, wood, textiles, packaging, waste electrical and electronic equipment, waste batteries and accumulators, bulky waste and mixed municipal waste and/or separately collected waste from other sources, if that waste is similar in nature and composition to household waste, but does not include waste from production, agriculture, forestry, fisheries and aquaculture, waste vehicles and construction and demolition waste.

Recycling is any recovery operation by which waste is processed into a product, materials or substances regardless of whether they are used for their original or other purpose, including re-production of organic materials, except re-use for energy purposes and re-processing into materials intended for use as fuel or for filling landfills.
