The protection of victims of human trafficking is of general social interest because it is a criminal offense that represents the most serious form of human rights violation and one of the most profitable criminal activities. The establishment of the Center for the Protection of Victims of Human Trafficking in Belgrade is the result of the state's commitment to improving systemic resources for combating human trafficking, and primarily for improving protection and support for victims of trafficking, in accordance with the requirements of international documents to which the Republic of Serbia is a signatory. | |
