Methodological explanations | |
The Survey on the Safety and Quality of Life of Women (EU-GBV), was conducted by the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia in 2021. The main objective of the survey is to collect data on the incidence of gender-based violence in the Republic of Serbia.
The survey covered intimate partner violence, domestic violence, non-partner violence, stalking, sexual harassment at work, childhood violence, general experiences with crime, and more.
The indicator is calculated only for women, the target population of the survey was limited to the population of women aged 18 to 74. The survey did not cover psychological violence by non-partners, so this component is missing from the overall indicator.
The results of the survey were published on June 30, 2022 in two publications entitled "Quality of life and and safety of women" and "Woman victim of violence from the Point of view of statistics". The publications present indicators on gender-based violence in the Republic of Serbia.
