Definition

The number of subscribers (subscriptions) of fixed broadband Internet access refers to subscribers who pay for access to the public Internet and are allocated according to data download speeds per 100 inhabitants of the Republic of Serbia.

Methodological explanations

The fixed broadband subscription indicator, by speed, refers to the number of fixed broadband subscriptions to public Internet, broken down by advertised download speed.

Since most Internet service providers offer plans based on download speed, the indicator is relatively easy to collect.

Method of calculation

The indicator is obtained by dividing the total number of fixed broadband Internet subscribers (with a certain download speed) by the total population of the Republic of Serbia and multiplying by 100.
